Welcome To
Uncomfortably Comfy Couch
Lean into the uncomfortably comfy places, where change, growth, and connection begin.
Uncomfortably Comfy Couch LLC provides online therapy for clients located in South Carolina and Colorado.
At Uncomfortably Comfy, you are met with compassion, curiosity, and respect for the full story that brought you here. We believe the patterns, protections, and survival strategies you carry once served a purpose, and healing begins when we can honor them without letting them lead the whole way forward.
We are especially passionate about serving underserved populations, including teens and adults navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, executive functioning challenges, and the many ways neurodivergent brains experience the world. Rather than asking you to force yourself into systems that were not built for the way your brain is wired, we work with you to better understand your strengths, needs, patterns, and capacity so growth can feel more realistic, compassionate, and sustainable weather individually, in your relationship, work, or family system.
This is a therapy space for exploring what feels hard, tender, confusing, or uncomfortable in a way that feels safe and supported. Our approach is inclusive, neuro-affirming, and identity-honoring, creating room for you to show up honestly as you are while building new ways to connect, cope, heal, and thrive.
What “Uncomfortably Comfy” Means
Change can be tender. Even when something isn’t working, including old roles, coping habits, and relationship cycles, it can still feel familiar, and familiar can feel safe.
Uncomfortably Comfy is the place where comfort and growth meet. Where we honor what has helped you survive, while gently making room for what helps you thrive. That might mean building new ways to regulate, communicate, set boundaries, repair, and come back to yourself—one small, steady step at a time.
Hard Topics in a Safe Place
Online Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Virtual therapy allows you to access support from a private, comfortable space while working through anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, autism, relationship stress, or learning skills as a parent of a neurodivergent kiddo.
ADHD & Neurodivergent Therapy
If you or your teen has ADHD, AuDHD, autism, OCD, or you’ve always felt a little “out of sync,” you’re not alone. Living in a world that isn’t built for your brain can be exhausting, isolating, and confusing (especially if you’ve spent years masking or being told to “just try harder”).
We offer neuro-affirming, strengths-based therapy for teens, adults, and families navigating ADHD, Autism, and other forms of neurodivergence. Together, we’ll build practical tools for focus, emotional regulation, relationships, and overwhelm, while honoring the creativity, sensitivity, and insight that often come with a neurodivergent brain.
Curious if you might be neurodivergent? Many people are exploring ADHD and autism diagnoses in adulthood—even in their 40s and beyond. This is a safe place to start.

Teen Therapy
Is your teen dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, bullying, ADHD, perfectionism, or feeling overwhelmed? Teen therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they can sort through what’s going on, feel understood, and learn tools that actually help.
With over 15 years of experience working with teens, youth, and their families, I help young people build resilience, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and grow a steadier sense of self-worth—so they can feel more confident, connected, and like themselves again. Trauma Therapy
Trauma can linger in the body, showing up as anxiety, numbness, hypervigilance, sleep issues, or feeling disconnected from yourself, others, or joy. These aren’t weaknesses; they’re protective responses that once helped you survive.
As a Certified Trauma Therapist and EMDR Therapist, I offer a steady, compassionate space to help you process what happened, calm your nervous system, and rebuild a sense of safety, choice, and connection.
First Responder Therapy
First responders, law enforcement, correctional officers, firefighters, EMS workers, veterans, and helping professionals often carry experiences that most people will never fully understand. The job can train your nervous system to stay alert, scan for danger, compartmentalize, and keep functioning no matter what but over time, survival mode can start to follow you home.
At Uncomfortably Comfy Couch, therapy for first responders offers a steady, trauma-informed space to understand what your body and mind have been carrying, build tools for regulation, reconnect with yourself and your relationships, and learn how to step out of work mode when it is no longer needed. This work is personal here, and support is offered with respect for the strengths that helped you survive while making room for more rest, connection, and presence.
Anxiety Treatment
Are you or your teen feeling weighed down by daily stress, critical inner thoughts, panic attacks, OCD,or seemingly endless spirals that feel overwhelming? It’s understandable to feel this way, and you’re not alone. These challenges can make it difficult to stay present, affecting work, school, relationships, and daily life in impactful ways. We’re here to support you with compassionate strategies to navigate these feelings and enhance your well-being. Let us walk with you on the path to a more balanced and fulfilling life. Couples Therapy:
If you and your partner feel disconnected, stuck in the same painful cycle, or unsure how to talk without it turning into a fight, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourselves.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I’ve spent much of my career helping couples navigate the hard topics in a safe, steady, nonjudgmental space, including communication breakdowns, trust injuries and infidelity, intimacy and sexual concerns, and the questions you may not know how to say out loud.
We slow things down, get honest about what’s happening underneath the conflict, and build practical tools for repair, clarity, and connection so you can move forward with more understanding and less fear. Learn more about Couples Therapy → More….
